Yeon Young and Sae Jun had an incredibly busy month May 2016. They were both just wrapping up their final year at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and decided to celebrate by having their wedding right after graduation! It was the perfect way to celebrate a couple of significant milestones in one full swoop.
There are a couple of aspects that made their wedding day so special. First, their families flew across the world from Korea to help celebrate their union. Second, their friends helped with many aspects of the wedding including the ceremony officiating, live band cocktail hour music, gorgeous reception lighting, photo booth, videography, and reception DJ.
The Peggy Notebart Nature Museum was the perfect backdrop for their lovely wedding. Everything was in full bloom and incredibly luscious green. Check out these dreamy photos by Matushek Photography to relive their beautiful day.
Sae Jun bought all his groomsmen different famous artwork-inspired socks. So fitting!
The couple had their first look at the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool. Such an amazing backdrop!
Their romantic color palette was full of soft grey, blush pink, peach, and cream. Life in Bloom provided all of the wedding floral.
Yeon Young and Sae Jun’s mothers were the first to walk down the aisle in their traditional Korean garments. They lit the unity candles to begin the ceremony.
A cousin of theirs played the piano for their precessional music.
A friend, Jennifer Knust, officiated their romantic ceremony.
Between the gorgeous overhanging lights, blush pink linens, and countless tea light candles, their reception space was incredibly romantic.
Jewell Events Catering provided the libations, food, and beautiful wedding cake.
Congratulations again to Yeon Young and Sae Jun!
