Fall Ivy Room Wedding with a Splash of Cider

Last September, we were fortunate enough to help fellow local business owner, Kevin Cary, get married to the woman of his dreams, Alison Keller! Kevin is Co-Owner of one of our favorite breweries, Begyle Brewing (which just so happens to be in our very own neighborhood – North Center in Chicago).
Alison and Kevin got married at the one and only Ivy Room. This venue, located in the Magnificent Mile, not only has a gorgeous dinner space but also a luscious and green front garden. The couple did an amazing job at picking special touches throughout their wedding, both of them spending a good amount of time thinking about what would fit well with the space. Take a look at these photos by Rebecca Marie Photography!
Their gorgeous invitations were provided by Ork Posters. We loved the incorporation of the Chicago skyline!
Our favorite part about this wedding was the color palette and the florals. Alison was not afraid of color. Her main colors were teal and chartreuse, and she allowed the flowers to bring out accents of orange and navy, with pops of burgundy. It was the perfect palette for a fall wedding. Hello Darling provided all the amazing floral.
A friend officiated their romantic, outdoor ceremony.
Their paper goods were on point, displaying their primary wedding colors- teal and chartreuse. The escort cards, signage, and menus all carried the same funky and mod theme throughout.
They had a fun, interactive DIY photo booth with Polaroid instant cameras and a scrapbook.
The frames that held the table numbers were purchased from a local, artisan vendor through Etsy.
Another one of our favorite aspects about their wedding was their custom wedding cider. They created this cider especially for the purpose of celebrating their union – how cute is that? Each guest got to take one home as a wedding favor.
They chose to do their first dance outside, before leaving cocktail hour. They had their guests surround them with sparklers, creating a romantic moment between the two of them before dinner.
The other vendors involved in their beautiful day were Sway (musicians), Big Foot Media (video), M&M Limousine Service, Debra Petrielli (hair and makeup), and Mineralogy (jewelry).
