Inspiration: Boardwalk Empire Wedding Photo Shoot

I made a promise at the beginning of the year to blog more about the cool things we are doing here at Naturally Yours Events [in this post]. Well, I have almost kept that promise 🙂 I have a few more inspiration posts to share before the end of the year to be all caught up with all the goodness we did in 2012/late 2011.

First up, one of my favorite shoots that I’d like to share on the blog is inspired from the hit HBO show Boardwalk Empire.

For this Boardwalk Empire-themed shoot, we transformed real couple Amanda and Katrina Miller into a glamorous pair straight from the Roaring Twenties set inside Andersonville’s store, Brimfield. The theme was echoed perfectly by the stunning cake from Celestial Kitchens with architectural motifs. Eco-friendly paper goods and event ticket invitations provided by Spilled Ink Press added more drama with multiple textures and vintage buttons. The classy looking candies in cut-glass jars from Amy’s Candy Bar and eco-chic truffle escort cards handmade by Katherine Anne Confections really set the tone as guests began to arrive for the ceremony.

Guests were seated in elegant mismatched chairs while the couple said “I do” in front of stunning floor-to-ceiling windows accented by a vintage suitcase alter. Afterwards, our “green” caterer, FIG Catering dished up pork loin onto elaborate china with cut-glass chargers from Tablescapes. The pewter pintuck tablecloths and napkins added an element of glamour that was complimented by in-season flowers from Marguerite Gardens.

Bride Amanda’s gowns and dresses were made by Mignonette Bridal with at least 50% vintage materials and paired with beautiful Swarovski pearls and sterling silver pieces from Due Sorelle. Bride Katrina’s suits, shoes, and pocket squares were designer vintage from Humble Collective and Fresh and Proper. Our green beauty team at Karen Marie Salon styled Amanda’s 1920’s hairstyle while the fabulous Pamela with Makeup By Pamela added the finishing touches.
