We’d like to wish Sara and Paul a very happy one year anniversary today. The couple met on a blind date, and totally hit it off! A short while after, Paul proposed in a super cool way: over the radio, on a station that he knew Sara would be listening to.

Since their hobbies together include home brewing beer, they decided it was only fitting to have a beer-themed wedding. They wanted their big day to be simple, fun and warm. They chose to host their wedding at Danada House, where they held both their ceremony and reception. It is a casual, natural space that boasts beautifully kept grounds with floor-to-ceiling windows. The couple had so many cute beer-themed touches at their reception: the cute escort cards held beer caps with table numbers marked on them, their card box was a keg used for a home brewing kit, the centerpieces consisted of an eclectic grouping of beer growlers and beer bottles (illuminated by twinkle lights), and their wedding favors were customized bottle openers.

Their friend officiated the ceremony, and another friend photographed their whole wedding. The backdrop of their ceremony was a lovely draped white chiffon linen that was adorned with greenery and hops. One of the cutest and most memorable moments of their wedding was when it was time to make their vows. The good-humored couple played a round of rock paper scissors to see who would say their vows first. Sara won, so Paul had to say his first!

Uncle Bub’s BBQ provided the delicious dinner, and La La Li Patisserie provided the yummy dessert. After guests finished dinner, a dance party hosted by Gold Noise DJs ensued until the end of the night. They also had a fun photo booth provided by The Traveling Photo Booth.
