Happy Anniversary: Rachel & Max

Rachel and Max tied the knot one year ago today! The adorable couple met thanks to a deep mutual love for the Chicago Blackhawks: Rachel was wearing her Blackhawks jersey, waiting for her friends to show up to a bar, when she caught Max’s eye. They hit it off right away, and so ensued their love story! After a few years together, he proposed with rose petal and candlelight romance – and their families showed up to congratulate them as a surprise.

They got married at a restaurant called Public Landing Restaurant in Lockport, IL – a space that a family friend of theirs owns. They truly transformed the space from a casual restaurant to a gorgeous, vintage-glamour celebration. There were lots of gold accents, candlelight, gorgeous hanging flowers (by HMR Designs), and other beautiful details. Symphony Sounds played during the ceremony, and their dog was their flower girl. Their amazing wedding cake was done by Julie Michelle Cakes, and it had the cutest personalized cake topper. Style Matters DJs played tunes all night and kept the party going.
