Happy Anniversary: Nicole & Kari

Happy first anniversary to Nicole and Kari! The couple had a small destination wedding in Hawaii, and they knew that they wanted to celebrate their marriage with their family and friends. Nicole and Kari hired us to help them with the party itself. They didn’t necessarily have a ceremony at Lacuna Artist Loft Studios, but they held their reception there. The night started out with a cocktail hour on the roof as the sun was setting- it was a gorgeous back drop. Then the party went downstairs for a funky cocktail style reception. Everything about the reception was centered on Chicago. There were several stations of their favorite Chicago foods – Honey Butter Fried Chicken, Antique Taco, croquets, Italian beef (both by LM Catering). They also had LM Catering to do some passed appetizers and two other dinner stations. Little Chicago-themed cupcakes from Maddiebird Bakery were served at the dessert table. They had a really fun map that told you where all the different stations were, called the “Chicago Tasting Authority” map. They also did a slideshow of the Hawaii wedding as well as their wedding album out for people to see. So they were still able to celebrate their vows with everyone that is based in Chicago.
