Happy Anniversary: Lindsey & Martin

Lindsey and Martin got hitched one year ago today at St. Paul’s Evangelical Church in Bloomingdale, Illinois. See photos of their lovely day below by Sara Johnson Photography.

Their bow tie adorned pup, Toby, acted as the ring bearer (don’t worry, he didn’t actually have any rings!). At first, Toby didn’t recognize Lindsey because she was in her beautiful white dress, but when he finally did notice her, he jumped excitedly while giving her kisses. Toby walked briskly down the aisle once he saw Marty, who was waiting for his bride and best pup at the alter. During communion, two friends of the couple sang an acoustic song- “I won’t give up” by Jason Mraz. It was a lovely Christian ceremony.

After the ceremony, everyone headed to the reception at Hilton Indian Lakes Resort. The cozy resort created a warm, winter lodge scene. It was a nice weekend for all the guests who stayed there (complete with a swimming pool and spa services!).

Their reception was gorgeous: bistro lights hanging from the ceiling, beautiful vintage vases displaying pops of flowers, and each table featuring framed images of family members on their wedding days.

Lindsey and Martin’s awesome cake was adorned with a personalized cake-topper made by grandma: the happy couple riding on a motorcycle with Toby at their side.

It was a wonderful evening full of dancing, love and laughter. Congratulations on your first year anniversary, Lindsey and Martin!
