Happy Anniversary: Liesl & Michael

Although our bread & butter comes from planning Chicagoland weddings, Naturally Yours Events LOVES stepping outside of our Illinois boundaries and working across the country. After Michael and Liesl (a fellow wedding industry professional) moved to sunny Los Angeles, they didn’t know of a local planner who they felt could really bring out their unique, quirky personalities into their big day. So, they asked Naturally Yours Events to plan their beachside California wedding- and we were more than happy to hop on a plane and oblige! It was truly a great experience getting to know and work with local wedding professionals in L.A. Have a look below at their colorful beachside wedding below through photos by Jason Kaczorowski Photography.
Liesl and Michael are such a unique couple, bursting with life and color. Liesl wore a beautiful bright green gown, while Michael wore a purple shirt with hot pink tie.
With toes in the sand, the bride and groom exchanged their vows overlooking the gorgeous Pacific Ocean outside of the Annenberg Community Beach House. It was simply gorgeous and full of romance. We created an aisle by lining glistening lanterns into a path. The wedding party consisted of her children, whom he adores.
After exchanging their I Dos, guests enjoyed delicious cocktails outside on the patio. On the way into the reception, each guest was given a very unique escort card – a Mattel toy! Michael, who works for the toy company, incorporated many unique figurines into their quirky wedding decor (as menu holders, etc). Guests were invited to keep their figurines as a favor.
The table centerpieces by Glasswing Floral were baskets of vegetables and other naturally edible goodies that they actually juiced and drank the day after (such a great eco-friendly detail!).
Dinner provided by Schaffer’s Genuine Foods was incredible – very fresh and organic.
The couple tangoed for their first dance (tuned provided by Loud DJs), which was totally fitting of their unique personalities.
In addition to sweets by Sinners and Saints Desserts, they also had a liquid nitrogen sundae bar for dessert!
Happy anniversary, Liesl and Michael!
