Chelle and Dave are truly young at heart and wanted to focus their wedding details on their love of Legos, movies, board games, and having a lot of laughs- all while having a sleek downtown Chicago wedding. This quirky pair made sure to put a lot of their personality in the details, and we were so glad to help make it happen. Check out these lovely photos from Tuan H. Bui Photographer and fun video at the bottom of this post from Bokeh Line.

Chelle and Dave got married in the Hard Rock Hotel with their good friend as their officiant. Their programs were crossword puzzles and other fun games that guests could play before the “I Dos” took place. This couple had a very modern-gothic flair to their ceremony floral arrangements with deep pink and burgundy flowers accented by black peacock feathers all arranged in tall bronze urns. Chelle walked down the aisle with a brooch bouquet with heirloom pieces that her family members provided.

After the cocktail hour, guests grabbed their movie ticket themed escort cards and headed to their tables. Theses cards created created double duty as favors too- Who doesn’t love popcorn boxes and movie tickets? Each table was named after one of Chelle and Dave’s favorite movies (many of them are super fun 80’s hits).

The centerpieces that were filled with red and burgundy florals, from Flowers by Stem,  also had a little extra something inside- they were also filled with legos! We then sprinkled a few mini Legos around the votives like confetti. Guests even built some things with them during dinner. Super fun! Chelle and Dave’s cardbox was the container to their favorite board games and their guestbook was a fun photo booth with quirky props.

Everyone had a blast on the dance floor (thanks to Toast and Jam) and taking goofy photos in the Traveling Photo Booth.

Finally, a sweet ending to this wedding didn’t incorporate a traditional cake. Absolutely not! This couple had a S’mores bar- and not just any S’mores bar. Chelle and Dave chose interesting chocolate flavors, different types of crackers, and the most unique artisan marshmallows ever tasted from Katherine Anne Confections. How sweet it is!

Happy first year anniversary Chelle and Dave!
