Happy Anniversary: Ashley & Jon

Ashley and Jon said their I Dos under the sun, outside at Greenhouse Loft. They wanted to have a more casual, chic backyard barbecue feel for their big day. Cocktail hour- which was also hosted outside- proceeded the ceremony, and the reception afterward was hosted inside the venue. They had different food stations serving a summer barbecue menu such as macaroni and cheese, pulled pork, and corn on the cob. The couple wanted to host a dinner that was a little more casual than your typical wedding reception. Instead of traditional wedding cake for dessert, they had pie by First Slice Pie Cafe. Yum!

Their decor was loosely inspired by University of Michigan colors – blue and yellow (Go Blue!). We just loved that their flowers (from Pollen) had blue and yellow but also incorporated whimsical touches of blush. The flowers were held in jars, tins and reclaimed wood boxes to bring in that backyard barbecue feel into the decor. The backdrop of the escort card table featured photos from the couple’s childhood and youth, as well as the coming of their lives together.
