Ashley and Joe first emailed me early in 2012 to help with their wedding for sometime in April of 2013. But as time progressed, the date kept getting pushed due to Joe’s schedule with the Marines. Finally it became clear that Ashley and Joe would be trading their Spring wedding for a Winter one– and they had 3 months to plan it! Well, it couldn’t have been more beautiful with the perfect dress and the light dusting of snow on the ground. I am so happy for these two, celebrating their first year anniversary!

Before they said their vows, Ashley and Joe wrote each other letters that they read while getting ready.

As they made their way down the aisle as husband and wife, they were greeted by members of the Marines in a traditional sword ceremony where the bride could not pass the swords without a kiss to her groom. So sweet!

The reception and dancing was to follow at Greenhouse Loft. The modern and warm space was adorned with soft glowing candles. The flowers from Natural Beauties Floral, Inc. added to the romance with soft pinks and blush. Goose Island Catering provided an outstanding meal and of course, there was a craft beer table that even had some Bourbon County Stout on hand for the groom! Some of our favorite details of the night where the adorable wood escort card holders and burlap table numbers.
