Chris and Allison’s wedding at Lacuna Lofts was one of those days that felt effortlessly cool—laid-back but polished, intimate but buzzing with energy. It started like so many modern love stories do: with a Hinge match and a well-timed pandemic. But from their lakefront proposal on a sunny day to their stylish, music-filled celebration, it’s clear this was always meant to be.

A City Loft with a View

The ceremony took place on Lacuna’s rooftop terrace with sweeping views of the skyline, just as they’d envisioned. Chris and Allison shared a sweet first look before walking down the aisle, surrounded by soft greenery, mis-matched aisle runners, and a sea of candlelight. Their vows were personal, joyful, and just the right amount of emotional.

Naturally Yours Events kept everything running smoothly behind the scenes, while Cage and Aquarium set the tone with music that flowed effortlessly from ceremony through reception.

A Reception with Heart (and a Full Dance Floor)

Inside Lacuna’s Reverie Room, May Floral added warm, understated florals with greenery-forward designs that paired perfectly with Allison’s modern-elegant style and Chris’s clean, simple taste. Round tables, moody lighting, and candlelit accents made the space feel cozy but elevated.

The couple opted for a sweetheart table, giving them a perfect vantage point to soak it all in—from heartfelt toasts to the moment their DJ (Luis, aka DJ Rawzhel) turned up the volume and packed the dance floor.

There were no favors, no photo booths—just great food from LM Catering, a signature whiskey sour and spicy marg from the bar, and an after-dark vibe that hit just right. The cake, provided by Vanille, was cut in front of everyone—another sweet, simple tradition that felt grounded in love.

The People Make the Party

Chris and Allison’s crew brought the energy, from a spirited wedding party dressed in deep teal and terracotta to their little flower girl Margot and three energetic junior attendants. Maura Black Photography captured every moment—from emotional dances with parents to a sparkler-lit sendoff that closed the night with a bang.

The Vibe

Simple, modern, and full of heart. That’s how we’d describe this Lacuna Lofts wedding. It wasn’t about grand gestures or over-the-top design. It was about the people, the music, and the kind of love that just feels easy. And it couldn’t have suited Chris and Allison more.
