GRATEFULLY IN LOVE
Anyone else wake up and ask “How is it suddenly September?” As the seasons transition from summer to fall, so does wedding inspiration with deeper color palettes and cozy textures.
But if you aren’t quite ready to be done with vibrant summer weddings just yet, enjoy some end of summer inspo from Sasvi and Peter’s wedding! Their backyard tented soiree last year was the perfect farewell to summer with bright, seasonal florals and an all night dance party to a Grateful Dead cover band.
STORYBOOK FIRST LOOK
Sasvi’s parents have a beautiful property in Lake Forest with lots of hidden garden areas. It was a serene setting for the couple’s first look! Also, we love how Peter presented Sasvi with her bridal bouquet, so sweet!
It turned out to be a beautiful summer day but that may have been because of some superstitious luck! They buried a bottle of whiskey in the spot they were going to get married in to ward of any rain. Tradition says to dig it up on the wedding day and share a drink with friends!
BOHO FAMILY-CENTRIC CEREMONY
The ceremony was officiated by the bride’s uncle and included sweet, personal vows. Their nieces and nephew served as flower kids & ring bearers along with bride’s brother who was the “beer boy” handing out refreshments to guests. The tent looked magical with string lights & greenery hung by Atmosphere Events Group.
TOTALLY TIE DYE
Long farm tables were welcoming for the family style meal full of all their Pakistani favorites. The couple handmade all the tie dye napkins and got customized hot sauce favors for their guests. Maison Blanche created all the day of details including the seating display and colorful table numbers & menus. An assortment of colored glass goblets and a vibrant floral palette elegantly added to the funky tie-dye vibes.
DANCING UNDER THE MOON
After the sun went down, the stage lights came up on Grateful Dead cover band, Terrapin Flyer. Sasvi and Peter danced to their favorite song, ‘Standing on the Moon’ and then we brought out light up hula hoops & streamers for the dance floor.
