Friday night I was invited, through DJ Harsh, to attend a special opening at Takohl’s gallery. Tammy Takohl was inspired to become a jewelry designer after receiving an heirloom piece from her grandmother. The necklace, she discovered, opened to reveal a special message hidden inside. This led her to design the Takohl Treasure Rings, where the band opens up to reveal a personal message inside. I just love the idea of these for wedding bands!

Another ring I fell in love with was the Takohl Earth Ring. You can actually wear a living, breathing plant that grows inside the ring. It comes with a glass atrium, which creates the optimal growing climate for the plant. So neat!

During the event, Tammy was also featuring art from Michael Gricus, who uses recycled material destined for landfills to create his work. I am in love with his art, especially the piece below.
