Some weddings are all about the people—and Seulgee and Gary’s celebration at Studio LM was just that. No wedding party, no strict traditions, just a day centered around love, laughter, and joy with the people who matter most.
They started their morning together, getting ready side by side. No “big reveal,” no staged first look—just a quiet, sweet start to the day that felt completely them. Studio This Is captured it all beautifully, from the soft, glowy light of their prep time to the buzz of the reception that followed.
Once ready, they stepped out into the city, wandering through Grant Park for portraits that showed off both the skyline and their connection. No awkward posing needed—just two people deeply in love, doing their thing in the heart of downtown Chicago.
Studio LM: A Blank Canvas Turned Cozy Celebration
Studio LM offered a bright, clean slate that quickly transformed into a warm, welcoming space filled with texture and intention. Naturally Yours Events pulled all the details together, from the perfectly timed flow of the day to the styling touches that made the venue feel like an extension of the couple.
Flowers for Dreams brought in florals that were fresh and unfussy—soft blooms in warm neutrals and muted tones that complemented the natural light and modern space. Quest Events added subtle draping to define the space and soften the industrial edges, creating an atmosphere that was stylish without being over-designed.
Intimate, With All the Heart
Seulgee and Gary skipped the formalities of a large wedding party, opting instead for an intimate crew that included family, friends, and a few joyful littles running around (some of our favorite photos came from the kids on the dance floor—pure gold).
Instead of big entrances or strict timelines, the night unfolded naturally. There were beautiful father-daughter moments, spontaneous dance-offs, and that feeling of a room buzzing with love. Their dance floor was full from the jump—thanks in part to the musical intuition of Style Matters DJs, who knew exactly when to turn it up and when to let a moment breathe.
Food, Photos, and Fun
LM Catering kept guests full and happy all evening with a delicious spread, while Fotio provided a modern photo booth setup that doubled as an aesthetic lounge corner. It wasn’t just about snapping pics—it was about capturing joy in the moment.
Hair and makeup were handled by Natalie Carrillo’s team, keeping Seulgee looking radiant from start to finish. Her look was timeless, natural, and full of glow—like the whole day.
Guests stayed nearby at the Hyatt Regency, making it easy to celebrate late into the night without worry. And the drinks? Courtesy of Binny’s, of course—an essential part of any Chicago party.
The Vibe
This wasn’t a wedding that followed a script. It was a wedding that followed a heartbeat.
Everything about Seulgee and Gary’s day was intentional but never overdone. It was romantic and city-chic, but grounded in joy, connection, and the freedom to be themselves. From their quiet morning together to the packed dance floor at night, they created space for meaning, celebration, and memory.
And honestly? That’s what it’s all about.
